2.6 Memories are Plastic
The Story
Rounding out this second season of the podcast, I’m including a three part mini-series. Each story is half neuroscience and half personal story. I think the stories speak to the science involved. Personally, I’m fascinated with neuroscience and the ability for the brain to change.
This first episode is called Memories are Plastic and introduces a few of the concepts I’m most interested in. The personal story involves a simple experience in childhood that still resonates.
Paul’s Pick
I couldn’t start off a mini-series involving neuroscience without sharing the Hidden Brain Podcast.
The Hidden Brain Podcast helps curious people understand the world and themselves. Using science and storytelling, Hidden Brain’s host Shankar Vedantam reveals the unconscious patterns that drive human behaviour, the biases that shape our choices and the triggers that direct the course of our relationships.
