Paul Dore Creative Media.

As a Creative Consultant, I help you fill in the gaps of your story. I thrive in the space between inception and production. Yes, I know, storytelling is trending at the moment - a buzzword - which implies that it is fleeting and empty. However, I've been dealing in stories for decades, which has created a deep understanding of the importance and value of establishing your narrative.

In addition, the platforms available to tell your story has exploded. These are merely tools. Without exploring what you want to say, the message will be lost.

What I'm talking about can be abstract and difficult to pin down. This is where I enter armed with a no bull shit attitude. A solitary story outlaw swooping in to help develop your ideas and accelerate them into existence. I love the excitment of project inception.

I've worked with a wide variety of clients including: the Invictus Games, Deloitte, Stack, CBC, Children's Wish, Skate Canada and Dress Wright.

The guidance and incredible project management skills provided was simply amazing. A workflow was created that addressed all of our needs and goals.

Production Experience.

I started working in the industry as an editor, moving up the ladder into directing and producing. My approach was to gain experience in every position on a production - from technical roles to design to project management. My goal wasn't to become an expert in everything - I wanted to understand the language of each department in order to communicate effectively and reach the goals of the various stakeholders.

I've worked on just about every kind of production: documentaries, instructional videos, music videos, corporate videos, lifestyle television, drama, film, commercials and online content. You name it, I've got experience with it.

In addition to my role as a director for the Olympic Broadcasting Service at the 2014 Sochi Games, here are some places I've worked for as a writer, producer, director, project manager, editor or creative consultant.

Breaking the Ice (an event co-hosted and co-produced by Paul) was a tremendous success. The event gave our generous donors the unique opportunity to interact with members of our national team.
— Skate Canada

Creative Engagements.

Writing has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Take a look through the rest of this website and you'll see evidence of this in the monthly storytelling event I co-founded and co-produce, my podcast, blog and my first novel.

These projects and others have created a foundation that bleeds into my professional life. From being comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people to finding the elusive narrative that makes a project sing, my creative skills have been honed over 20-plus years of exploring various types of mediums. The Walking Man flirts with being a confessional chronicle, but, at its best moments, it becomes a globetrotting tale that imagines new ways to get at what’s really going on.

The videos created for us were fabulous, captured the themes we were after and was a very powerful part of our project. All we can say is: Wow, thank you for all your hard work!

Contact Me.

Focus: I want to help you get to the heart of your story through messaging, communications and strategy.

Results: I believe in tangible results. For example, when working with the Macy's Grand Tree Lighting Celebration, I was able to construct a longterm strategy that helped define the digital voice of the show. This increased sponsorship revenue, created more digital dialogue to communicate with exisitng customers and established opportunities to bring in new ones.
